Saturday
We started out with a decent sized group on Sat, with a bunch of heavy hitters. There was Guy East, Joe Jukolla, Jake Rytlewski, Brad Nelson, Weston Luzzader, Dan Skinner, and a whole group of juniors and Mob Squaders. After we got warmed up, we just flew! We were to the half way pit stop in a little over an hour! I had so much fun. I felt pretty fresh by the end. We averaged 20 mphs for 50 miles, burnt 2000 kjls, had an avg of 240 watts, and a peak wattage of 1508. I was pretty let down on the tent sales, though. There were just no good deals.
Sunday
I slept in a little today, and missed the main departure of riders, so it was just Dad and I for the most part. We first met up with Mr. Kukolla (Joe's dad), then a bunch of IU guys which I race with all the time. At the lunch break we saw Joe, Guy, Weston, some Nuvo guys, and some MOB Squad guys that I didn't get to ride with yesterday. I got to catch up with a lot of guys I don't see on a regular basis. So yeah, we be jamming. You guys are gonna hate me for not getting documentation of this but I saw an actual clown college today! I'm not even kidding! Man, I was a lucky guy today, especially when a bee flew straight into my mouth and all I got was some freaked out taste buds. We averaged 19.0 mph today, and I spent about 2200 kjls. Not a bad weekend of riding, considering I needed a racing break, and that I needed to spend some time with friends. It's all good!
